Herman's Cheesecake Bakesale
Herman is baking his heart out for this year's annual cheesecake bakesale. All proceeds go to benefit a breast cancer charity. He will be located in the Gameroom on Saturday, October 15 from Noon to 4 pm. Cash preferred, account charges available.

Challenge That One Friend or Family Member!
Is there someone you’ve been trying to get to visit the Cove and experience nude freedom? Nude-A-Palooza is a great event for first-timers! Encourage that newbie to take the #Nude4Charity Challenge. Get naked for a good cause…you’ll never go back! We are asking everyone to participate in this amazing cause. From simply sharing a post to showing up for the event, your contribution matters more than you know.

Our rooms are booked but you can still dust off that tent in the garage and grab yourself a tent camping Nude-A-Palooza combo ticket. Lots of Halloween events happening this year! Celebrations will take place on Saturday, October 29. Please sign up for the Children's Trick-Or-Treating if you plan to hand out candy. We will be giving out a map of all the houses participating. Sign up on the Activities door.

The fight for men’s beach toplessness was no picnic either!
"In 1934 the issue of men’s topless bathing suits became a hot-button topic in Manistee between those who embraced the new swimwear and those who felt that it was too inappropriate of a display for local beaches. Thus, the battle of the trunks ensued. Throughout the 1920s, the popularity of Manistee’s beaches began to grow because of a variety of factors, including a paved trivia stone road to First Street Beach; the removal of sand dunes that had once blocked access to the beaches; and on the north side of the city the formation of the Northside Improvement Association, which played the leading role in beautifying Fifth Avenue Beach."
