Happy National Library Week (April 23-29)Visit the American Nudist Research Library! During National Library Week we learned there is more to the story. A library is not just books. The American Nudist Research Library (ANRL) holds treasures for movie lovers, as well. Within the ANRL is a collection of H and E Naturist magazines. These issues contain a long-running movie review column, focusing on movies that contain nudity, and how that nudity is treated in the film. Additionally, within the ANRL’s collection of The Bulletin, one can find many instances of Paul LeValley’s column on films with nudity. Paul’s analysis is perfect for nudist movie buffs to find a film for adults, teens, or entire families to comfortably watch. The library is always a fun, interesting place to visit, but if you are in the mood for a movie, the ANRL is perfect for reviewing the library’s video catalog and watching a film from the collection on the DVD player or the VCR. On your way out, no film fan will want to miss the library’s autographed photo of Marli Renfro, the Psycho shower scene body double. If movies are on your mind, visit the library this week during National Library Week and consider becoming a Friend of the Library.
News Outside the Cove See what's making headlines in nudist news around the world. These things and more are being shared on our social media channels. Judge John Hodgman on Going Nude at 87We agree! "I stand by the paper’s reporting that a little everyday nudity can help us feel comfortable in our bodies." "'Dan' writes: Last year, The Times offered advice about going naked. I gave it a try. I’ve found self-acceptance and joy in my body. But my wife says that 87 is too old for this. She exiled me to my room! Please tell her to let me out of my room in the nude. (Call me Dan if you print this)." Read the full story & his response HERE. Museum guests will have to strip NAKED to enter nude exhibitionHow do we feel about this? 'Our idea is to question the issue of the body in a given space, to see how bodies interact with other bodies,' a spokesman for the macLYON told The Times. "The event at the macLYON, the museum of contemporary art in Lyon, is part of a series of two acts focusing on the presence of the body in the works of the macLYON Collection. Naked visitors will be able to enjoy the 90-minute session on Thursday that aims to move away from the notion of 17th-century French philosopher René Descartes: 'I think, therefore I am.'"
