Back to the 70’s Weekend, Aug 10-12

disco.jpgPlatform shoes, afros and bellbottoms are the attire for this weekend. It’s all about celebrating every thing from the seventies.

The weekend starts off with a 70’s Karaoke Party with Regis. You can come sing all your favorite 70’s songs or just shake your groove thing if you’re not really the singing type.

Saturday by the pool will be funky too, with a Pool Party with DJ Xavier playing all the big 70’s hits for you to groove on under the sun.

On Saturday night, the Lakeside Restaurant will be transformed into Studio 54 so you can dance the night away again with DJ Xavier. Get your best disco leisure suit on for the big costume contest at 9 pm. The first 10 costumed guests to sign up for the Costume Contest win a free drink!

If you’re still stuck in the 70’s, this is your time to come out to the Cove and shine like a disco ball.

Restaurant Specials – Back to the 70’s

Remember the food crazes of the 70’s.  Cheeks will offer a variety of Pita Pocket sandwiches.  Enjoy Breakfast at Lakeside with a Banana Boat (Granola, Yogurt, Bananas, Strawberries & a Blueberry Muffin) .  Lakeside Restaurant will serve Vegetable Tempura, Shrimp Tempura, Lasagna, and Chocolate Fondue with fresh fruit and pound cake for dipping.

BBQ Night moves to Sundays

Bar B Q Night
Due to its popularity, and to accommodate our weekend visitors, Bar B Q Night at Lakeside Restaurant will be moved to Sunday nights beginning August 19th. The menu will also be expanded to include several items that are not smoked for those with different taste preferences.

Wednesday Night at Cheeks!
In addition to its regular menu, Cheeks will be featuring Ethnic Theme nights. Each Wednesday night, from 5PM to 8PM, two authentic regional dinner meals will be prepared for your enjoyment. On Wednesday, August 15th, traditional food from Poland will be served. Pierogis and Bigos (Hunter’s Stew) will be the fare.
Hunter’s Stew contains smoked pork, sauerkraut, spareribs, bacon, cabbage, kielbasa, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, and seasoning.

Future Wednesday nights will highlight foods from Greece, France, Germany, Spain, China, and a dozen more countries.
