From Dean’s Desk
Cypress Cove Days weekend is just over, and it was a good one. Members who came out to enjoy the sharply reduced gate fees and overnight rates were treated to mostly sunny days, lots of fun activities and happy hour prices all weekend. On Sunday afternoon we held the annual General Membership meeting. Attendance there was quite good, and we updated members on improvements and repairs here in the Cove, as well as local area growth. There were discussions on several topics, with questions and comments coming from the audience. Although most topics had been brought up before, it is good for us to get our annual update from the membership so we can know what is most important to you.
In my last message I asked for suggestions for making the lakefront a more attractive place to lounge. We received several good ideas, nothing big, but small enhancements such as a rinse shower. Look for some more changes soon, and thanks for the help.
Would your nudist kids like to go to a youth camp with other nudist kids? The Junior-FANR youth camps are coming up June 24 through June 30 at the Gulf Coast Resort in Hudson, Florida. There are two groups, for youth ages 11 to 14 and ages 15 to 18. Even though time is short it is not too late to sign up. For more information go to www.fanr.org and click on FANR Youth, or phone 1-800-TRY-NUDE.
Don’t forget to buy your tickets for the American Nudist Research Library Digital Challenge. The cause is very worthwhile, and the prize is fabulous, 30 nights in a Villa apartment at Cypress Cove, plus other coupons and discounts. We have structured the prize so it will appeal to Cove members as well as non-members. You can live here for a month, or you can break it up into several visits of three or more nights. Even if you live nearby, wouldn’t it be nice to come out for dinner and some after dinner partying and not have to worry about the drive home? It is a great opportunity, but you must buy a few of those $5 chances in order to have a chance at winning. The AANR office is coordinating the drawing, so phone 1-800-TRY-NUDE to purchase tickets.
‘Til next time…
