It’s that time once again for a party weekend you won’t soon forget! Y’all get ready because REDNECK WEEKEND RETURNS!
It all starts off Friday afternoon with a right good pool party with DJ Xavier spinning all the redneck music you can handle. That night keeps the good times rollin with a good old fashioned Redneck Karaoke Party with Ted in the Lakeside Lounge. Sing all your countrified favorites or come down and sing any song as long as you come and sing.
Saturday has yet another pool party with Xavier, a Good Ole Boys Parade, and the now legendary Hillbilly Games on Lakefront Lawn. Saturday night, Snafu, will take the stage at Lakeside Restaurant for a big Redneck Hoedown with all your friends. It all builds up to our Redneck Costume Contest where you can win a free night stay in our beautiful Villas. I hope to see y’all here real soon.

There are quite a few themed weekends coming up this Summer, including the Redneck Hoedown this Saturday night. We think it would be fun if more of our guests dressed up for the events. So we’ve decided to offer a free drink (beer, wine, or well) to the first 10 costumed guests who see Regis once the dance has started at 8 pm. And don’t try to pull a fast one on us. It’s got to actually be a costume that you’ve put a little thought into. Don’t just show up in blue jeans and claim that’s your Redneck Costume! But if it’s a good one, you can win a free drink for your effort.

Parrothead is almost here and we’ve got a great weekend planned out for you. It’s going to be the best Parrothead ever, but that is not the only great thing that is happening here at this Cove this month.
For starters we have the new Pirate Party Weekend, July 6-8. In addition to all the great normal activities, we also will have the Pirate Treasure Hunt and a big Pirate Costume Party on Saturday for everyone to enjoy and maybe win some great prizes. We think it’s a great new addition to the schedule.
Another new addition is the return of Monday Music. We took it off the schedule last month due to low participation. As soon as it was announced my email inbox was flooded with people pleading for us to bring it back. And me being such a people pleaser, I’m happy to announce it will be back July 2nd and continue on the first Monday of the month with a different performer every show. This night will continue on through October when it will return to the regular schedule of every Monday night. Make sure to come out and support this night so we can keep it going the rest of the summer.
We have made a change to Open House. We will not be having the car show this year. We have tried the car show now for a few years and it has never really caught on. We even offered a cash prize last year and it hardly affected the entries. So this year we will have the Open House with DJ Shawn playing some tunes and a hot air balloon giving rides on the sunning yard. We are also looking for volunteers to give tours of Florida’s Most Beautiful Clothes Free Resort. Sign up in the activities office A.S.A.P. if you would like to help out.
As you can see we have a great month in store for you here at beautiful Cypress Cove. Make sure to come out and enjoy all the great activities we have planned for YOU!

We’ve got two events coming up that we need volunteers for. The first is the Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours Party on Wednesday, July 11th. Ours is one of the most popular events of the year. We offer food, drinks and tours of the resort to local Chamber Members.
Then on Saturday, July 14th, is our annual Open House from 10 am to 2 pm. We will have a DJ set up on the lakefront, along with food & drinks for sale. The entertainment for this year is very exciting. We are offering tethered hot air balloon rides on the lakefront!
Both of these events are important opportunities to share our lifestyle with the local community and perhaps even grow our membership. Education is our greatest ally. But we need you to help make it happen. For both events, we need volunteers to help park vehicles and offer tours of the resort to our guests. Please call or stop by the Activities Office to sign up.
