Do you love Blues music? If the answer is “Yes”, then we have a great weekend for you. Taking place April 27-29, we will be celebrating the great American art form, the Blues.
Friday night will start the weekend off right with a huge Blues filled Karaoke Party with Regis. Come down and sing some Blues music or any other type of music you want. It’s fun even if you just want to watch!
On Saturday, we are throwing a special Blues Party with a new band here at Cypress Cove, The Snafu Band. They will play a great mix of traditional Blues and some fun danceable bluesy Rock and Roll for you to enjoy for the whole evening.
We look forward to seeing you there!

The hermit crabs are in and are available for viewing in the Lakeside Restaurant. They are all thoroughbreds, I assure you. In case you have no idea what hermit crab races are, I certainly didn’t, let me explain.
We have an aquarium full of hermit crabs crawling around and all over each other. You pick out a crab and provide him a name for the races. All the crabs are then placed on the center of a large round table, the racetrack, under a lid. When the race is ready to begin, the lid is lifted and the hermit crabs all begin to scurry towards the edge of the table. Once a crab crosses the finish line (the finish line is a circle, so it’s the same distance no matter which direction they run), he is named the winner and pulled out from further races. The rest of the crabs are then pushed back into the center for the next race. After 10 or so races, there is a championship round using just the winning crabs. The sponsor of the champion crab for the night wins a chance at a nice prize.
It may sound silly, but I guarantee you it’s a lot of fun. Come down now and look the crabs over. Then be there race day on May 4th for the first races at 7:30 pm in the Lakeside Restaurant. Be sure to show up early so you can pick out your crab!

Two AANR youth programs are being held at Cypress Cove this summer, the Youth Ambassadors and Nude U. These programs are intended for young nudist adults, 18 - 30 years old, who are interested in developing the skills to present the nudist lifestyle to other young adults and families. It’s educational, but it’s also a lot of fun. And it’s an opportunity to help grow the young nudist community.
Applications and detailed information are available on the AANR website at www.aanr.com/young_adults.
