The online Cypress Knee has shaped up nicely. Weekly e-letters contain the latest news and announcements, and a sidebar lists coming events for the next couple of months. Each newsletter is also available on our web site until the next one supersedes it. The newsletters also contain links to the articles on the Cove web site, making it easy to get to more information about news and activities.
To get all this great information, just go to www.cypresscoveresort.com, and click on the newsletter link. Enter your name or a user name and your email address, then click on subscribe. If you want to unsubscribe or change email addresses you can use the same form to do so, and then re-subscribe with a new address.
From the same page you can link to the latest newsletter, or go to the newsletter blog (web log), which contains all the current articles as well as articles from past issues. You can even filter the articles so you are looking only at activities, club news or Cove news. For those of you who are really into the computer thing, you can even have your favorite newsreader deliver the latest articles to your computer as soon as they are posted. For that capability, look for Feeds on the Blog page.
Don’t let us lose contact with you when we stop producing the traditional Cypress Knee. Sign up for the online newsletter or let the office know you need to continue getting an abbreviated paper version.

We are just about to complete the renovations to the hotel rooms. Only a few rooms in building five are left. As part of this final phase, we are going to create two pet apartments. Because of their location they will be non-smoking units.
With the hotel project winding down we will be able to put more resources into other items on our list, including a few things left over from the ‘04 storms. These include some metal fence repair or replacement and rebuilding some game court shelters, as well as a few minor cosmetic items. Our asphalt volleyball court gets virtually no use, so we plan to convert it to sand. The job list never seems to get any shorter, so you can be assured you will continue to see improvements to Cypress Cove for many years into the future.

Barbara and I recently returned from a few days in Spain, where we attended the world congress of the International Naturist Federation. I am the AANR’s delegate to the INF, and at the congress Barbara was elected to a position of their Central Committee, representing the interests of non-European naturist federations. The next world congress will be at Tambaba beach, on the east coast of Brazil. Tambaba is located at the very easternmost part of the big bulge that is about halfway up the east side of South America. The Brazilian naturists are planning an event that will host many more naturists than just the INF delegates. If you might be interested in a nude beach in a very exotic location, let me know. I don’t have anything to do with making the arrangements, but I can fill you in on what I know about the location. The date will be in early September of 2008, so you have plenty of time to think about it.
‘Till next time…
