Coupon Clippers Meeting
For several years we have been collecting, cutting and shipping coupons to military bases so families can cut expenses when shopping at base commissaries. Families have been able to stretch their income using these coupons. Right now we could use a few more "cutters". If anyone can spare two hours, we will be meeting on the first Thursday of each month from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Bring scissors and meet us in the Terrace, by the Cove office.
If you have any questions, please call Carolyn Strack at 407-932-0268.
The election of officers at the American Nudist Research Library® will be held at our next meeting on Jan 17, 2014 at 11 am in the library here at Cypress Cove. All library members are welcome to attend, and toss your name in the hat and vote. The nominating committee is working on a slate of candidates for all offices but since both our President and Secretary are stepping down, those offices must be filled. You can contact the library through our Web site.
The library Web site ( http://anrl.org ) has library news, the recent Newsletter, lists of our media collection, volunteer positions, a membership application form and a surplus document order form. We are trying to rejuvenate the library, build membership and strengthen the core of volunteers so we can continue preservation of nudist history by scanning our documents converting paper to digital. Please become a library member, volunteer and come and visit us at the library!
LEARN TO PLAY BRIDGE
Easy and fun - will include playing and hands and an opportunity to interact with others in a social bridge game. No partner needed.
Advanced Beginner Basic Bidding and Play course will be starting on Saturday, December 14, 1-3 PM. This 8-week course will prepare you to play bridge with friends. If you haven't played bridge in a while, or just want to brush up on your basics, this is the course for you. This class is free, but space is limited.

I would like to know in advance how many are planning to attend so I can order sufficient materials.
We still have a few rooms left for the Nude Cruise in February. This one looks really special. I'm super excited about it. It's a week long cruise with 4 great stops: Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (one of my favorite nude stops, the water is calm, clear and amazing); Ocho Rios, Jamaica; Georgetown, Grand Cayman; and Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Honduras. And it's all on a Holland America ship, which makes it even better!
All of this is brought to you by our very good friends at Bare Necessities Tour & Travel, www.cruisenude.com.
If you are going on the Nude Cruise, please consider adding a stay at Cypress Cove to fill out your nude vacation. Guests staying 4 or more nights in our hotel get free bus transportation to the port. Last year we brought 5 buses to the Big Nude Boat!
Guests staying 4 or more nights will receive free round trip bus transportation for two to the port (a $200 value), including gratuities for the bus driver and baggage porters, and complimentary drink tickets for the Bon Voyage Meet & Greet Party. Stay 5 nights, and you will also receive all of the above plus two complimentary Cypress Cove Nude Cruise T-Shirts (a $40 value). Guests staying 7 nights or longer receive all of the above PLUS the 7th night FREE!
As always, stays may be combined in any fashion of before and/or after the cruise. We hope that everyone is able to take advantage of these great offers. Space is limited so make your reservations now!
UPDATE: Buses are filling up fast. To reserve your seat, contact Tiki in the office at 407-933-5870 or by email. Hurry while there are still seats left!
News from Ted
Last Wednesday was our annual Employee Christmas Party. The whole park shuts down and we have a big party just for the staff. There are food & drinks (open bar), door prizes, a staff Christmas present, a DJ and a special photo op with Santa!
Members this year were especially generous with their donations of door prizes. We had a huge pile and so every employee received a very nice gift. Thank you so much to all of you who donated. You really went above and beyond this year!
This weekend is our Christmas Weekend and we've got a lot going on.
Come to Scuttlebutts on Friday night for our Suicide Karaoke Party w/ DJ Xavier. Suicide Karaoke is a fun variant on regular Karaoke. Singers put their name in but their song is chosen at random from a list of popular songs. You never know what you're going to get. It's especially funny when a big burly man comes up with Shania Twain's, "Man I Feel Like A Woman". :)
Also on Friday night is our Christmas Lights Hayride & Carolling. The wagon will be parked by the Clubhouse at 7:00 pm. We will do as many rides as necessary until everyone has had a go. We think we've finally got the carolling down. We have printed lyric sheets and pen lights for everyone on board.
Our Christmas Parade will be Saturday at 1:00 pm. We will have Santa and his sleigh, plus all of the members & guests who want to join in the fun. Decorate your car, golf cart, bicycle or yourself. Or get really creative. We've had some great floats over the years. One that stands out in my mind is the "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" float which had the song playing while a decorated cart literally runs over a stuffed grandma. It was pretty funny to see.
But that's not all. The RC Yacht Club will be putting on their annual Lighted Boat Parade on the Lakefront at 6:30 pm. Then we've got our Christmas Dance on Saturday night with live music by The Papa Jack Express. This is a band that we've had here before and they were really great. This time they will be performing as a Christmas band.
Still in the holiday spirit? Good, then come to the Lakeside Restaurant on Monday for a very special Christmas Show with Roland & Lisa. Lisa is one of our bartenders and she sings like an angel. Her and Roland, one of our residents, always put on a great show. We will also have a special Holiday Menu for that night. Make dinner reservations now to guarantee your seat for the show!
Plus a special bonus! Join the Cove Singers for a Christmas Eve Sing-A-Long in the Clubhouse on Tuesday at 7:00 pm.
There will be no BINGO on Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve. BINGO will resume it's regular schedule after the holidays.
Around the Cove:
Christmas presents for the staff, all donated by members
Gary from the bar and wife Karen from the office
The Office staff with Santa
Giving away the prizes
Two of our volunteer bartenders
Enjoying a slow song
Time for some shots
Maybe those shots weren't such a good idea :)

We are beginning preparations for our big 50th Anniversary Celebration. We will be celebrating all year, but especially on our Anniversary Weekend, April 4-6, 2014.
One of our members had a great idea, why not bring back some of our iconic t-shirt designs from years past?
Of course, a lot of them have come and gone over the years and we don't have the original designs. So, if you have any classic t-shirts from the good old days, I'd like to buy them back. We will give you a $5 Cove Coin for each shirt you give back. We will not only use them to copy some of the designs, but they will make great decorations for the Anniversary Party!
To qualify for the $5 Cove Coin, the shirt must be an older design, not associated with any specific event (in other words, not old Nude Cruise or Parrothead T-shirts), and it must be one of the first two shirts we receive with that particular design.
If you have any t-shirts that you would rather not part with, you can just email me a photo of the design. Thank you so much!!!
We've got our "Ask Me About Cypress Cove" T-shirts back in stock!
They are priced at just $5 each, so we are not making any money on the shirts. We are just hoping to spark some word of mouth marketing. Wear it to town, to the grocery store, just wear it while you are out and about.
So if you are a proud Cypress Cove member and want to help spread the word, please come pick up your new t-shirt today! - Thank you
Where have you worn your "Ask Me About Cypress Cove" T-shirt?

Someone suggested that we create a page on our website going into a bit more detail on our various classes and activities. If you are responsible for one of the scheduled classes or activities, please email me a brief description. One sentence would be okay, more if needed, but just a summary for new visitors. I'm thinking of everything from bingo to exercises to petanque. Thank you in advance!
Regis handles activities, but I put together the weekly newsletter. I'm always looking for content. If you have anything that you would like to see in the newsletter, please email submissions to email@example.com.
We received some very nice new reviews on TripAdvisor. Thank you! If you would like to help spread the word, you can review us using the link below.
